Job Description

Our advanced systems move everything from car bodies at auto plants to luggage at airports to packaged goods at warehouses. We are known as experts in engineering, manufacturing and servicing innovative automated materials handling systems including conveyors, automatic guided vehicles, automated storage & retrieval systems, and integrated controls.

The company is currently seeking a Material Planner.

Champion all efforts related to accurate inventory.  Prepare and maintain all cycle counting activities.   Verify and investigate material discrepancies, while managing for continuous improvement, constantly seeking opportunities for inventory accuracy.   Perform tasks focused on inventory movement and analysis.


  • Daily cycle counts – generate list of parts to count, coordinate with the shops, post counts, work to identify variance
  • Area cycle counts – same as above          
  • Steel cycle counts – same as above
  • Spread cycle count dates – manage dates on parts to make sure we are counting our A-B-C’s as required
  • Monthly clean-up
  • Monitor kit y / kit n  - manage and identify parts that may need to be changed to support production
  • Approve returns -
  • Return to stores/demands on stores – this is done as needed
  • Project clean-up – as projects are coming to a close, responsible for identifying material to return, scrap or keep
  • Create work orders – as needed to support stock orders
  • Monthly Inventory reports – create and distribute
  • Review of MRB – Material review board – follow-up and keep clean
  • Surplus clean-up – review material usage to recommend disposition
  • Parts Below Minimum – Make/Buy
  • Location adjustments to support production
  • Manage Parts Below Minimum – both makes and buys
  • Review of safety stock items
  • Oversee and evaluate stock rotation


  • Associates Degree or experience in a design to order manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer experience including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills   
  • Experience with inventory management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • SAP Experience
